What: Earth Day rally to oppose data center development in Wythe County
When: Wednesday, April 22, 5:30 p.m.

Wytheville, VA – Preserve Wythe and the Wythe County Chapter of Virginia Organizing invite all who are opposed to data center development in Wythe and surrounding areas to come to an Earth Day rally today, April 22 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
All who attend will receive a sparkling new ‘No Data Centers in Wythe’ yard sign (while supplies last!) to proudly display around our amazing county. Donations will be accepted, and we anticipate more sign orders to be made.

The rally will begin in Withers Park and proceed in a sidewalk march at 5:45 p.m., with signs, to Oracle Books on Main Street, for a 6 p.m. press conference. Please bring your friends and neighbors.
We will connect the dots between the forecasted harm from unregulated data center development to our land, air, and water – not to mention increased electricity costs, the glaring attack on democracy, and the need for minimal land use regulations to protect our rural character.
