Virginia Organizing posts concrete steps so you can take timely and important action! SEE CURRENT ACTIONS BELOW.
Tips to making your action effective: be polite but firm (don’t yell or curse or get angry); give your name and where you are from; tell whoever answers the phone what your concern is and why; ask for the official position on your issue; and remember, the person answering the phone is just doing his or her job..
Don’t forget, you can connect with a local chapter to work for social, racial, economic, environmental, and gender justice at the local level. Email us at info@grand-cyan-rabbit.67-208-42-13.cpanel.site so we can help you connect to one of our community organizers.
2026 General Assembly
The 2026 General Assembly session is underway! Here are some links to helpful sites for the session:
- The Virginia General Assembly Website – where you can look up bills and committees.
- Vpap.org – where you can find out who is donating to your legislators and how much they gave.
- Cumulative Index (virginia.gov) – another good site to look up all of the bills that are still alive for this session.
- And here’s a link to our current Virginia Organizing legislative priorities – this document will be updated as bill information is added and updated.
Please email info@grand-cyan-rabbit.67-208-42-13.cpanel.site if you would like for the slides or recording from our General Assembly 101 Workshop to be sent to you.
Also, be on the lookout for calls to action from your local chapter organizers. Our VO chapters have been planning local actions and lobby days during the session. If you have questions, reach out to your local organizer!
