What: Community listening session to learn about how the public is impacted by cuts to important public services
When: Saturday, March 7, 11 a.m.
Where: Waynesboro Public Library, 600 S Wayne Ave, Waynesboro, VA 22980
Waynesboro, VA – Waynesboro residents and community leaders will gather on Saturday, March 7 at 11 a.m at the Waynesboro Public Library to share about how they’ve been impacted by cuts to social services like public education, housing, and SNAP. They will also discuss how state and local funding cuts are impacting the overall community, cost of living, and how community members can take action. Transportation, Spanish interpretation, and other accommodations are available upon request.
This will be the second community listening session that the Waynesboro Chapter of Virginia Organizing has held surrounding these issues since the OBBBA was signed into law. The chapter plans to continue hearing concerns from Waynesboro constituents as they continue to be impacted by federal cuts to social services.
