In addition to our individual chapter work, Virginia Organizing Housing prioritizes statewide issues that impact all of Virginia. Our three statewide strategy committees are open to members of all chapters who want to address these important issues.

Restoration of Rights

Our Restoration of Rights strategy committee is focused on passing legislation that supports restoring the voting rights of returning citizens. We have been advocating for, talking with legislators, and educating the public about the proposed constitutional amendment to automatically restore the voting rights of citizens who have completed time served and restitution for a criminal conviction (HJ2 and SJ248).
