
Paméla joined Virginia Organizing in the summer of 2023.
Paméla is an avid learner. She has an Associate degree in Accounting from PVCC. A Bachelor of Science in Leadership Studies from Averett University. She recently completed an MBA in Economics from Longwood University and a graduate certificate in Leadership in HR from the University of Virginia.
She has served many roles in the community teaching community tax classes, completing the requirements for citizenship, registering new voters, and more with groups such as the Food Bank, Salvation Army, and Virginia Film Festival. Paméla has also been an elderly caretaker and a nanny for many families around Charlottesville.
Currently, Paméla is a member of the Steering Committee for Residents for Respectful Research (R3), an initiative of the Public Housing Association of Residents and the Equity Center at UVA. Additionally, she serves as Community representative for the Institutional Review Board for the Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia. Pamela has recently completed a trip to Cape Town, South Africa, on behalf of R3.
Pamela was raised in Niamey, Niger and gained her U.S. citizenship in 2000. She is a proud mother and a fluent speaker of five languages, including English and French.
